I compliment NIC in having undertaken an exercise for creation of innovation agenda though the workshop held yesterday. I have made the following suggestions:-
1. We need to define the criteria to judge “what is innovation”, in the context of NIC.
2. We need to distinguish between an application, product and innovation.
3. NIC should come up with individual policies on innovation and product development.
4. Collaborative development of innovative applications of technology should be encouraged.
5. “Innovation Exchange” should be launched as a platform not only to show case innovations, but also for exchange of ideas and for networking of the innovators.
I request you to take necessary action on the above lines and present the same at the next Innovation Workshop planned for September, 2013.
